| | Mr. Udai Singh is currently the Executive Vice President and Heads the Synchronous Learning Technology initiatives of NIIT. Over past 18 years Udai has held various responsibilities with NIIT. Till September, 2008 Udai was the Head of NIIT Imperia Centre for Advanced Learning, a strategic initiative of NIIT started in 2006. Till August 2006, he was the Head of Global Design, Delivery, and Information Systems (GDD) at NIIT. He was responsible for the design and development of all NIIT Education products and setting the standards for Education Delivery on a global basis. GDD is also responsible for all the Systems Integration and Software Applications Development for NIITโ€ s Education businesses. This involves the development and deployment of mission critical applications across over all NIIT centres globally, in addition to the centralized applications deployed at 2 data centres. Chief Operating Officer, NIIT Online Learning Limited from January, 2003 till March, 2005. NOLL a fully owned subsidiary of NIIT spearheaded NIITโ€ s e-learning & web based education delivery initiatives during the period 2000-2005. In the past, Udai has also been responsible for forging strategic relationships with Technology majors and has managed NIITโ€ s Global Relationships with Microsoft, Intel, Sun, and CompTIA. At GDD, Udai lead NIITโ€ s efforts in the use of Technology to drive innovation in Business Processes while simultaneously bringing to market innovative new products and is considered to be an expert in alliance of Industry needs with Academia. Additionally, Udai is a founder member of the NIIT Education Society and served on the Board of Governors of the NIIT Institute of Information Technology (TNI) which has now evolved into the NIIT University. In this role, he is deeply involved in the design of a new generation Institute of Higher Learning which will focus on emerging areas in Information Technology, Bioinformatics, and Educational Technology. |
